About Us

PI AAA Foundation is an independent non-profit 501c(3) organization that supports educational programs for students and faculty of Pine Island Independent School District #255 by providing funds for programs and activities recognized by the District which are unfunded or underfunded by the normal operating budget.  The focus of support is for innovative, creative, “out-of-the-box” projects in the arts, athletics, and academic arena.

Since our inception in 2009 we’ve funded numerous field trips, behind the scenes opportunities for the New York Music Trip, a new Archery in the Schools program, Arts and Culture trips, science expositions, safety equipment for football, reading programs and story-tellers for the K-8, dance performances and new iPad technology.  More than $85,000 of generous donor-funded contributions have been distributed to the District. Additionally, over $10,000 in local scholarships have been awarded via partnerships with active supporters of Pine Island students.

Our volunteer Board of Directors is made up of parents of past and present K-12 students as well as former teachers and current staff of the District.  We are always looking for more Board members to help with events and evaluate funding requests from teachers and staff. For more information please contact the President, at piaaa@piaaa.org.
